About Institute

Government Polytechnic, Aadampur, Tarabganj, Gonda was established in the year 2013 with the assistance of the Central Government and guidance of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, with the objective of promoting technical education and developing technical skills among the youth, particularly in rural areas. The institute is located at Aadampur, Belsar, Tarabganj, Gonda, Uttar Pradesh – 271401, at approximately 27 km from Gonda city.

The institute envisions becoming a centre of excellence in technical education by empowering students with technical knowledge, practical skills, discipline, confidence, problem-solving ability, professional ethics and employability skills. Along with academic education, students are encouraged to participate in technical, cultural, co-curricular and personality-development activities for their holistic development.

Presently, three diploma programmes are running in the institution: Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Production), and Mechanical Engineering (Automobile). The programmes emphasize theoretical knowledge, practical training, laboratory work and skill development to prepare students for employment, higher education and entrepreneurship. The institute also has in-campus boys' and girls' hostels.

The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and its diploma programmes are affiliated with the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
